What are the goals of your project?

My goals for this project are:

  • Send an email to the students, to see what snacks they will like.
  • Organize a meeting with the director of the scholarship program.
  • Reach out to the families and help them out with food, since I imagine if they have trouble with snacks they have it with food too.
  • Buy a bigger box and organize the snacks.
  • Talk to Restaurant owners about having a jar for donations that way they could communicate what the money is going to be used for.
  • Choose new students to help out, with the help of the director of the scholarship program.
  • Look for more sponsors to help support the program.

What are the milestones that you will need to meet to obtain those goals in the next trimester?

Some milestones that I will need to meet are trying to get new snacks for the students that they would like to have, organizing a meeting with restaurant owners and talking to them about the project and convincing them to help out, a family being against receiving help, and finding out which other students need the service. Another milestone will be finding out more sponsors and how much money they will be willing to give.

How will you know that you have succeeded?

I will know I have been successful when I get more help from sponsors, families get their food, and there are snacks that students like and don’t worry that there aren’t many options for them at the snack box.

What is needed this week to get you started? (marketing, meetings, emails, other communication, etc.)

To get started this week I will have a meeting with the founder of the project, and the director of the scholarship program to start right away my role. I will send an email to the students of the snacks they would like to have, and have a meeting with the owners of Rip Jack and talk to them about what the project is and how the money is used.
