Journal Entry (June 17)

This week for our assignment we had to read an article and summarize it for our group. There were three different articles, the first one was more educational and talked about business and founding plans and the lack of them in non profit organizations. Continuing the second article was about a young boy who used Lego robotics to create Braille printers (Need) and finally the last article was about a young man who partnered with another man created a biodegradable  shampoo bottle to lower plastic pollution (Relationship).

During our discussion we learned and talked about the different articles and what we learned about. For example we decided to use the first article to find which of the ten funding plans might work for our project (Member Motivator, Big Bettor and Local Nationalizer). We also talked about how our project consisted of needs (Like the need of cheaper Braille printers). The third article demonstrated the need for relationships in order to create a successful non profit organization, it taught us about how we need to share our ideas with someone else in order to receive feedback and other ideas to involve in our project.
