Journal Entry May 2021 CAS

Throughout this month Ashley and I have made some drastic changes to our CAS project. Our initial plan of continuing Ashley and Melanie's Boston Trip failed due to the Covid situation. Now we are working with three families in Brasilito which we will be providing with some food and clothes. During these changes, we had to make we were able to gain more motivation to put into this new project. As well, we gained the skills of risk-takers because we had to take a risk for our new project and so far it has been a very successful risk. Before we came up with new project ideas we had multiple challenges with our previous project that helps us learn from them and made us grow as teammates. Personally, I have grown in my communication and interactions with others due to this new project because I was able to learn more about the community I have grown up in and getting to know the community members better as well. So far, this month we have also shown more commitment through our plans that are taking action. We are able to be more committed because of the resources we have and the motivation to help others during this difficult time.
