journal entry that talks about your feelings about starting IB

What are you excited about and why?

I’m excited to learn new content in this class because I know its gonna help me in my future. Also creating CAS projects and becoming more independent in this class.

What are you worried about and why?

I’m worried it’s going to be hard and that it is going to be a lot of content because I stress very easily and give up when I do. Also, I am not going to understand it well and affect my knowledge.

How can your teachers help you? Give 3 specific examples.

-having a good attitude in the class with teachers and classmates

-trying and not giving up with assignments

-being motivated and having goals

What strengths do you have that will help you with the program?

Some strengths I have to help me with the program are my leadership skills, communication, motivation, and that I like to help others when I know something well.

Who do you look up to that went through the program and how do you create relationships with them to support you through the program?

Students that have done the class and can help me have a better understanding of it. For example 11th graders, I will communicate with them effectively so they can help me.

What makes you prepared for CAS? What makes you excited about CAS? What makes you nervous about CAS?

My communication skills and my passion for a project that I really want to do. I’m excited to create my project and think of others. I’m nervous about people supporting my plans and making it work.
