Throughout this month I’ve had time to reflect on different aspects of my project. During the development of my project I have always worried about including everyones opinions and perspectives in the decision making process, since Youth Taking Action is formed by three members including myself, we have to communicate in an effective way to make sure everyone is participating and putting the same effort into the activities we plan.
It is important to maintain respect and work together for the wellness of our communities, treating everyone equally without having dicrimination or favoritism, we make sure this happen by creating a mind map each time we wanted to develop an activity for our community, through this mind map we make sure all of us were putting ideas and contributing to the creation of the activity.
In the same way I think we have always been ethical with the decisions we take and we always think before acting to be able to understand the different aspects of our community we have to think about before creating an activity for them. For example when we do clean ups on the beach we need to make sure all the hygiene protocols are being followed and that little kids are with an adult that takes care of them in order to have a safe environment. This project has made me more responsible and now I take a lot of things in consideration before doing something that will impact others in some way.
