Plan for 12th grade – Catagdvc

Students Sponsoring Students and Canastas Basicas
I have been working with the scholarship students for over a year now, helping and supporting them financially with any of their needs and fundraising through events. But as the COVID situation affected tourism in our region, it tremendously impacted the income of the scholarship families and now have zero to little income to buy food or basic necessities. The canastas basicas organization needs help marketing because they need more donations to support the canastas and to be able to keep doing them. Not a lot of people are aware of this project and most importantly the community doesn’t really understand the emotional impact that it has on the families and through marketing, I want to inspire other people to make a change and help these families that are going through a hard time.

This week I am going to plan an interview video to try to go as soon as possible to the deliveries of the canastas and interview the families about their experience and how this organization has helped them. It will be a promotional video to get more families involved and to inform the community about the current situation of many families from the community. I will create a google doc with the questions and I will learn video techniques to use with my go pro.

This marketing project that I am undertaking is connected to SSS as I will still be working with the families of La Paz and their needs. Stacy will be tutoring and helping the scholarship students individually with their English and other subjects to make online school more comprehensible and make sure the students are not staying behind on their classes and their learning is not affected. While I will be working with the families in general and supplying them with basic necessities and food for the month.

I enjoy making videos and I think I am good at using social media and marketing. I think we can start making use of Instagram and other platforms to spread the word and inform the community more effectively. For the interview video, I have my go pro and my phone which has pretty good quality, and my computer where I have my editing program!
