Reflection
Is talking about your idea feel scary? Maybe people’s expectations will make you worried. Or maybe talking about it will make it real?
- Sometimes thinking and talking about my idea to people feel scary since they don’t necessarily know the story between St. Jude and me, and all that I went through and my family. Which is why when I present or talk about my idea I need to share a bit of backstory and explain why this hospital is so special not only to its clients and staff but to beating child cancer worldwide.
You might have a lot of ideas right now. Does it make you worried or anxious to not have a plan?
- It does make me sometimes worried and anxious about not having all the facts or details of how I might be able to pull this off. Besides there are many implications and obstacles for this project such as the financial part, if it is even going to be permitted….
How are you going to motivate yourself to spend a lot of time with your idea? Really analyze if the idea that you are kicking around in your head is the one that you want to spend that much time with.
- The way I motivate myself to stick with this idea is my passion for the doctors that have taken care of me for almost 14 years since I started going to St. Jude Hospital. Something that also motivates me is wanting to give back to the community that brought me back to health and safety.
