Reflections (Questions)

Did the questions create the desired response? Explain why or why not.

It depended on the person and medium I used to ask it. This is because I used both internet based platforms (Whats app, gmail…) and in person. When I asked in person I could explain a bit more what this was for and why I was doing it, I could also explain them my ideas vs asking people the straight question via Whats app.

Did the questions give you insight into how to solve the problem that you are addressing?

It did give me some ideas on fundraisers that  could do to raise money for my project. However it didn’t give me like a more straightforward way on how to say thank you to St. Jude. It also gave me an idea on how to encourage people into helping me with my project, this would involve research and communication to find other stories like mine.

Did the questions give you insight into how to fill a gap in our community?

The questions didn’t necessarily help me or give me an idea on how to fill a gap in our community. They gave me more ideas for fundraisers or to give to the participants or hosp ital as a thank you.

Did the questions require your audience to think about the larger issue? Why or why not?

The questions required my presence in order to explain my idea of the project and create answers which would be somewhat more connected to my project. This was because my questions as the video explained have to be more open or broad in order to get better feedback. Therefore I didn’t ask “How would you say thank you to a hospital” but rather “In what creative ways have you said thank you or showed gratitude to someone”.

Which question was your favorite and why?

My favorite question was “How can we show people the miracles that doctors do?”. This is because it is more related to the topic of my project and is a big part of my life and story. It also gave me an incredible idea of finding stories similar to mine for advertisement or encouragement for my fundraisers or my whole project in general.
