Show and tell journal entry

Where are you in comparison to your Gantt Chart? Are you on track? Was there anything added that you forgot about? Are you behind and why? To be 100% honest we stopped following our gantt chart after the first steps of talking with our mentor and setting up rehearsals. The reason why we abandoned it is because our project plan went in a different direction and it was enough to make the gantt chart that we made unhelpful. Although we aren't on track of our old gantt chart we are still on track with our project. We have been helping Gaby plan and set up the recital and I have already started choreographing my piece and we have already started our trio together. We have a set date for the end of the project, December 4-5, which is much closer than the previous one. And what are you proud of? Show it and tell me why. I am proud of the fact that we are taking the initiative to choreograph some of the dances for the show. By doing so we have the opportunity to grow and learn more choreography skills while integrating ourselves more in the dance studio. It's super difficult for all of us right now since we have so much on our plates with this show, competition, school, and our social lives it ;eaves little time for ourselves. Nevertheless we are pushing through and trying our best to reach the goals that we have set for ourselves. What could have been done better? Talk about that and talk about how you can change your tactics in future. Personally I don't believe that there is much we should have changed. It was the right decision to start with a collaboration with our dance teacher and mentor to help her put on the end of year production so that we could learn about the planning that goes behind the shows and get more comfortable in choreographing dances. Then in the future we can take what we learn and put on a show all by ourselves. There are a couple things that I believe could have been started earlier like Ava and Alexa’s dances, but it just turned out this way because of other factors that we could not control. I trust that they will be able to put together their pieces in time. Also more communication with the dancers' moms especially for me because I wanted to choreograph two solos but right now it looks like I only have the time for one. In the future we need to strengthen our communication and scheduling.
