Stacy – Journal Entry September 17, 2020

FINALLY. Genesis and I finally met. After various tries, here we are :) First of all the main take away from this experience was knowing that tutorías aren´t going to work if they keep happening online. This is due because she´s a learning 4th grader who needs supervision. We can´t read books online. Today was hard talking to her, specially because she doesn´t listen as much. Her personality is imperactive. I know how to manage these kind of kids, but it´s still challenging. Outcomes from this experience were reflecting how challenging this online experience was going to be. In like manner, through the meeting, Genesis and I discussed what was she doing in different subjects. We talked about spanish, science, math, and english. We also started to read a book in spanish that Tati send her. Likewise, I implemented a dialogue conversation in english with her. And I noticed that she´s shy presenting in english. I will look forward to fixing this problem. Since I have experience with this because of Jime.
