Stacy – Vacational Journal Entry CREATIVITY

¨COOKING WITH COUSINS¨ Birthdays are an excuse for all families to meet. This past august 11th one of my cousins was turning 17. Due to coronavirus, this time was different. Only cousins met, adults were out of the way. Along the journey, we had the opportunity to cook together to celebrate my cousin. I forgot how spending time with relatives can restart your life. It's a unique bond that only they understand. Unpopular opinion cooking takes time. Really what I learned from this experience is that good things take time. In the way you will need to acquire perseverance to achieve your goals. In connection with CAS, by creating all these projects you start to view people from a different perspective. And may create a deep connection with mentors, etc… This experience made myself grow while reflecting on family. Family will always be there for you no matter what. The only connection with the IB learner profile throughout this experience consists of communicators. Each one of us communicated towards each other deciding who was going to cook what.
