¨DONATIONS FOR LA PAZ FAMILIES¨
This summer hadn't lots of activities to offer due to coronavirus. Workers that assisted in tourism stopped working due to the negative aspects of coronavirus. The La Paz staff took action over this situation. Teachers and La Paz students were asking for donations in order for scholarship families to attend this crise. La Paz has been donating food to my family since quarantine started. I am really grateful for them. However, as months passed, donations were decreasing. And Tatiana (scholarship diretor) asked if Students Sponsoring Students could donate some money to certain families. Of course we were glad to help. We donated for 5 families since our retained profit was not going to have a chance of use. The CAS IB experience consists of providing help to a community or group who needs. From this experience, I can say Cata and I enrolled in the profile of service. It was done from home, however it helped 5 La Paz families. My personal growth with this experience is that the award is knowing you are making a difference in these families. Being done with the deposit, Tatiana felt extremely happy with our donation. Caring is the trait which defines the experience. We showed compassion and empathy towards La Paz families feelings. And our action made a positive impact on their lives.
