Storyboard

How will you give insight into your project? Through words? Through images? Through interviews? The majority of our video will be video clips relating to dance. This helps give insight on our project because the project is based on dance. We will have videos that represent the struggles that performing arts faced during covid and videos of dancers overcoming that struggle. We plan to include a couple of interviews of the dancers we choreographed for last year as well as Gaby (our mentor) and ourselves. Is there symbolism that you will use throughout the video? What does it mean? In the beginning of the video we are using three clips that are opening the studio door with a key or an empty stage/studio. These symbolize the restraints the dance community had during the global pandemic and how together we are overcoming it. During the video we are going to include clips of the dancers at our studio just having fun and enjoying their time at the studio. This will represent the excitement the dancers have for dance and the joy they feel despite all the struggle. How are you inspiring action? Our project at the moment is most heavily action as we are creating movement for our peers at the dance studio. But we aren't just inspiring the dancers to move. Many people have stopped doing activities during the pandemic and never picked them back up again and there are still restraints on anything relating to big gatherings so it's difficult for people to showcase what they have learned. We hope that the video will inspire young dancers and our community members to continue to strive for their passions. Are you telling a story? What is it and how are you telling it? We are telling the story of our studio overcoming obstacles through the pandemic and creating opportunities for us to dance and perform. We are telling it through a series of inspirational videos of us dancing and having a good time, and interviews from the dancers about how they overcame the struggles and what they learned from the dancers we choreographed for them.
