True colors journal entry

Explain, what did you take away from reflecting on your own personal color style and that of others in the group? It was helpful to better understand my partners strengths and weaknesses and how we can each work together depending on the color that we got. It was cool how the class was divided almost evenly. There weren’t any colors that had little to no people. This means that as a class we are strong together since we have a little bit of everything. I really saw that last year working in the Snack Shack where we all got to contribute our strengths to make one of the best Snack Shack years in history. What observations can you make about the type of personal styles that we have as a group? Is there a complementary color to yours? Explain which one and why. Because our class is divided almost evenly among the colors you could say that we have a variety of personality types in our group. I did notice that there were a lot of people in green and orange and it shows because there are a lot of people in our group with big personalities. Even people in gold or blue also have lots of ideas to share. We can be a chaotic group at times and I think that has something to do with the fact that gold had the least people and it was a lot of people’s last color. What are ways we can take this information into our work in class or in our CAS projects to work collaboratively in positive ways? I found it super interesting that all three of us got different colors and it may be helpful in our CAS project because each of us having different strengths means that we can do well in organization, communication, and working effectively. Having different personalities may cause some disagreements but it also helps learn from each other and work on our weaknesses. Alexa’s top color was Gold and that was my lowest one by far. I can learn a lot from her throughout the project about organization skills and planning.
