So far I feel like my new project idea is going very well, I’m getting help from professionals to get my WSI certificate which will lead me to teach swimming lessons to kids from CEPIA. Because receiving WSI classes is a new thing for me it will obviously give me different feelings, especially the feeling of being nervous, this will be a project that will get me out of my comfort zone so I will deal with more feelings throughout the process. The strategies I will use will be to not worry about being in a new environment and to think about how this project will eventually help the kids from CEPIA.
These are smart goals because I’m being specific with my goal, they are both measurable, and they are both achievable. For me, the best time to review these will be next year once I’ve become more familiarized with the project.
I would say this project will help solve a need in the community since many of the kids from the community don’t have access to a pool to learn to swim from a young age. And with my help, I can give this generation the opportunity to change this problem.
The people who are willing to help me are Ernst, Alex Zepeda, and Miss Amy J. My vision for the end of this project is to have thought at least 4 kids to become good swimmers and help them figure out if swimming is a sport they want to do for the rest of their lives or not, also to get a WSI certificate that will benefit me in many ways in the future.]
