School Supplies for a Guatemalan Library

Kids in the Village

Local kids from Salt Lake City will be gathering school supplies to take on their trip to Guatemala. In a library in Paco Piñas, Juanita helps teach children to read and write. I feel a connection with her because here in Salt Lake, I also volunteer to help children in my neighborhood elementary school. In Juanita’s village, when the kids pass a certain level they are awarded school supplies. We want to make sure that all kids have the school supplies they need to keep learning
