It all started with a trip for some high school students to Q'ero in 2015 from Costa Rica. It was only 2 days in the Andes mountains with this special group of young people but it created bonds of friendship and understanding that continues. Gloria then had the opportunity to come visit Costa Rica thanks to an amazing project by the students that visited Peru. This started a cultural exchange that was meaningful to all that participated. Amy has had the opportunity to visit Gloria again and get to know her and her daughter in Cusco. There been ongoing communication throughout the last 10 years. Cloe had the opportunity to go back and film a short documentary about Gloria's life that has won 2 national awards and has been screened in 4 international film festivals. The time spent with Gloria solidified the friendship and there are more ideas to come!
