Supporting Young Defenders

YOUNG DEFENDERS program embraces the ever-growing desire of families to allow their children a true wilderness experience, while at the same time allowing them to learn about conservation and to be a part of those efforts. It also embraces the need to get rural children, the future land custodians, into the wild to appreciate nature and what it offers. There is no greater conservation success story than that of the communal conservancies in North West Namibia, where communities have embraced the protection of wildlife and preservation of wilderness areas for the benefit of future generations. YOUNG DEFENDERS are afforded the opportunity to explore true wilderness on foot and by vehicle, under the leadership and mentorship of our Ultimate Safaris Naturalist guide trainers. They connect with nature and learn first-hand what it takes to conserve areas such as these, and to enjoy some of the best desert wildlife experiences on offer in Namibia. The ultimate wilderness experience for youngsters! Partnering with Ultimate Safaris, we take approximately 50 children a year into the wilds for a week at a time.
