Helping the mangroves

This weekend, 20 students from La Paz Community School in Guanacaste Costa Rica learned about healthy mangroves to better understand their importance in our world. We also gathered seeds from a healthy mangrove and then planted them in a mangrove that had died. We planted about 200 seeds! We have been focused on this project for 2 years and in my picture you can see that there are a couple healthy trees that were planted last year in the corner. It was a bit rainy today but we all made the commitment to the environment and ended up having a ton of fun together along with making a difference.

Wow, that sounds very fun. The more people trying to solve this problem, the better.

This adventure sounds fun!!! It is good that you had this commitment because once you commit to something, you do it. It is good that you did what you committed to and are planting more mangroves.
