Is it possible to for a Cat to see a Laser pointers in the Light level.

I’ve was playing around with the cats on the day and I notice they didn’t react to it and I thought they just lost interest but no when I move the laser to a dark part of the room they saw it. So I tested their reactions to seeing what happened when what their reaction be in different light levels. The problem for me to make it the most accurate data was me since they always focus on me. My testing shows that in Dark and Shaded areas they see clearly rather than in Bright areas
