Our Vision for This Year

The diversity and depth of programming that we offer differentiates us from our commercial competitors and increases our value as a member of the arts community in Park City – leading our patrons to strongly agree that Park City Film is “one of the best things about this community,” “helps tell important stories that otherwise would not be told” and “elevates the experience of being in this community.” We also hear on a regular basis how much people appreciate the way that our films engage audience members in global issues, provide opportunities for cross-cultural understanding and the conversations that our films and speakers foster. As a result of our concerted efforts to engage, enlighten and entertain our community, a majority of our patrons in our annual survey agree strongly that Park City Film “exposes me to new ideas and ways of thinking” and “is a cultural hub in the community.” Anecdotally, film patrons and community partners frequently express how important Park City Film is to them and to the community as a whole – referring to us as “the heart and soul of Park City.”

Park City Film is expanding its programming by 54% in the coming year to fill the cultural gap created by Sundance's departure. And we are launching two genre film series this summer, and launching the Park City Film Festival in October 2026.

As the only film-based arts organization in Summit County we are well placed to step up and re-imagine the future of independent film exhibition in Park City, and we are excited to see how our new initiatives take root and grow.
