The Brain-Changing Effects of Exercise

Exercise has many amazing short-term and long-term effects on your brain. The short-term immediate effect is that it increases neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters include things like serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline, which help to stabilize and improve your mood. Along with this, it can increase your focus level and time. One long-term effect of exercise is the production of new brain cells in the hippocampus. This means that the hippocampus will actually begin to grow. All of the short-term effects will also become long-term effects. So, an increase in neurotransmitters and focus level will become long-term and long lasting effects as well.
