What makes and effective RQ?

In my opinion a good research question should be clearly focused in a specific area while maintaining a certain level of broadness to branch out on. A good research question should also be based in a new less researched area and each one should be unique. More importantly a research question needs to provoke contemplation and should never be answered in yes or no or even a few sentences.,
