Update

Since I’ve been working in the community for quite some time now I’ve had a feel for the people I’ve worked with and how they’ve stood out in the project. Specifically someone who has not only played a big role in the development of Terraza and all of its advancements but who is also a kind hearted and very sweet person, is Ashley Look, our Youth Center coordinator. She has not only been a huge help to the youth center, but she has taught us new skills that we will be able to use in the future and throughout IB. Ashley is different because she is an empathic person with amazing qualities not many people have. She is an incredibly hard working person, she is sweet, helpful and super easy going. All of these traits make her who she is and how she works with us in the project. Seeing the way Ashley works has inspired me to become a better person and to learn from her actions and ideas. She is artistic, organized and so much more. A specific thing i’ve learned from Ashley while working with her is she has taught me to go with the flow and be more flexible when things don’t always work out, this has not only helped me with my life in general but it has helped me to not give up when working with things at school or in social scenarios. She has also taught me to plan ahead of time and build a solid base of what the idea we want to fulfill so that we don’t stress and we have a solid idea of what we want to achieve. Overall Ashley has been an exemplary helper in our Terraza community and we need more people like her.
