Need for More Mowana Monitoring and Care

Monitoring of the Mowanas shows that pasting of damaged bark regions doesn't deter the elephants from returning and eating non-pasted areas of the tree. This highlights the need for more extensive initial pasting, regular follow up for repasting, as needed, and even pasting undamaged Mowanas to prevent their destruction. This has demostrated to us the need to expand the program of Mowana conservation and education.
