Bonus Path: Gratitude

Showing gratitude has been scientifically proven to give you a boost! Some of these benefits are:

Increase happiness

Increase empathy

Improves relationships

Increases motivation and energy

Increases mental strength

Improves sleep

Now that you have identified your stakeholders and understand how they’re helping you reach your goals, it’s time to show some gratitude! Let’s create a thank you note for one of your awesome supporters.

Materials that you could use:

Cardstock paper or blank cards
Colored markers, pens, or pencils
Decorative materials (stickers, glitter, tape, etc.)
Scissors
Glue stick
Envelope (if you’re planning to mail it)

Steps:

Choose a blank card or cut a piece of cardstock and fold it in half to make your own.
Write “Thank You” on the front and decorate it with your style—add drawings or whatever makes it pop!
Open the card and write your thank you message inside. Be sincere and specific about what you’re thankful for. For example, if someone is being supportive, mention how much you appreciate their time and specific expertise that they are giving you and how it makes you feel.
Now it’s time to decorate with love and care! Use markers, stickers, or glitter to jazz up your card.
Check for any typos or mistakes in your message and don’t forget to sign your name at the bottom!
Once your card is ready, hand it over with a smile, or pop it in the mail to surprise them. Your thoughtful note will brighten their day!
