Building Lion-Proof Kraals

Team Name/Location

Conservation Travel Foundation (with Desert Lion Trust), Namibia

We are working to provide a series of lion-proof kraals to help support the desert lion population in northwest Namibia. Due to drought and challenging conditions, human-wildlife conflict (particularly with desert lions) is on the rise. To protect this group of wild ones, we have to work collaboratively– funding the materials to build the lion-proof kraals that will help villagers protect their livestock at night without harming any of the lions.
