In this video what I have captured are the early morning piping sounds.( The high pitch sound ) The sounds are made by the bees wings. All of the sounds that bees make came from their wings. Bees are deaf so they feel sound, understanding this gives us an entirely different perspective of their language. This recording was done in the early morning when the colony was still getting ready to start the day. So you'll see a few scouts returning from their foraging flights. The sound of piping in the early morning can be intense. I suspect the piping sound has a few meanings. In this case I would say that the piping calls are to signal the beginning of the day and to request that certain activities within the colony begin, like the feeding of the young bees and could also signal to scout bees to go out foraging.
