The Independent variable (what I changed) was the climate. Four apples were placed in coffee, vinegar, lemon juice, and bleach and left inside to soak for 45 minutes. Four apples were placed in coffee, vinegar, lemon juice, and bleach, and left outside in direct sunlight for 45 minutes. There was no visible change between the coffee and the lemon juice, based on climate. However, the vinegar and bleached apples, were less preserved indoors then they were outdoors.
