Networking and finding a mentor

My goal is to launch a program that will support teenagers in creating a social entrepreneurship project in their community to help them gain insight into themselves. (I have since this first idea realized that it doesn't have to be limited to teenagers. I also believe that creating change in a community is the goal and doing that by using entrepreneurial tools and theories). I have 2 different mentors that I would like to reach. The first one that I was looking for is a person that could help me understand how to start a small business. Adelma is a friend of a friend that was willing to talk to me about her experience and give some feedback on my path. The conversations were helpful. One aspect that I am still struggling with is pricing and Adelma helped me think about ways to quantify what Project Wonder if offering, by giving me some homework to do. I need to think about all the resources that will go into the offering and model it out with more than one customer. I have started this task. It is not easy for me but I know that I will talk to her in a couple of weeks again and will need to bring something to the table so I have extrinsic motivation to do the homework. She also has given me some good reassurance that the idea is a good one.  But with some ideas of how to make it more targeted. As you can see above, I get a little off track. So, her advice is to identify customers and target them specifically. I can work on this as well, through messaging and identifying who I am working with. I do have a second person that I am still looking for - which is a person that is in the field of education that can give some advice on how to discuss the program in terms that schools, counselors and teachers can understand what Project Wonder is offering. I am still looking for this person. When I am talking to Adelma, it helps me remember my goals and helps me focus my energy. It is successful because it gets me out of my own head and changes some of my behavior.
