Wattled Crane

Collective name: Flock

It is a common resident. It is a large threatened spieces found in the southern Africa. They are characterized by their long white neck,gray body and distinctive white wattles that hangs from their throat.

They feed on aquatic plants, insects and frogs.

They rely heavily on water and are considered as an important indicator species for assessing wetland health. Conservation effort are crucial for their survival due to harbitat loss and other environmental pressures.
